Since 1980 Finishing Touches Ltd., led by Designer and Master Craftsman Gordon Young, have been making anything you want in wood and have always welcomed new challenges. Gordon was taught fretwork by his Grandfather (whose treadle fretsaw he still uses – motorized now though!) This is only one technique of the many used in our workshop. Other skills as a cabinet maker and wood turner (with wood inlays or marquetry designs if desired) are used to make any type of bespoke furniture or piece – whether a free-standing table or fitted cupboards.

Our natural affinity with wood has ultimately led to numerous extremely varied commissions. From unique antiques of the future – whether it’s a small marquetry box with an inscription or an entire themed room – to us developing prototypes and doing small production runs.
